About JamBench
JamBench is a music learning platform for self-taught musicians. Pick your instrument, pick your level, start learning from YouTube tutorials that are already sectioned, structured and ready to play.
How it works
JamBench organizes content into four kinds of maps.
- Song Maps to learn a song.
- Technique Maps to nail a physical skill.
- Theory Maps to understand a concept.
- Skill Maps for ear training, improvisation, and everything else.
Loop a section, slow it down, track your progress. Bass, guitar, drums, piano, any instrument.
Where it came from
JamBench started as BassBench, a bench for learning bass lines from YouTube. Find the hard bar, loop it, slow it down, mark it ready, come back tomorrow. That workflow was never bass-specific, so the bass-only door came off. Bass, guitar, drums, piano, and other instruments share one bench.
JamBench is not the Godot / JamSet coding benchmark of the same name.
